Why Watch This

Rather than replaying the familiar "monster or victim" framing, director Emily Turner deliberately refuses to resolve that tension, and draws out an uncomfortable detail: the prosecutor who sent Wuornos to death row had previously spent hours in prison ministry with Ted Bundy. That double standard is where the film finds its sharpest material.

If Aileen's refusal to hand you a clean verdict got under your skin, Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes and Night Stalker sit in that same uncomfortable space.
